Aging Saw-whets

This page will contain text on how to determine age of saw-whet owls by molt. As I'm not finished that piece I am providing some photos of owls of various ages. They will be labeled and can be used as a visual guide for determining age. Remember that molt can vary in individuals. Please contact me directly if you have any questions.
